The Story

Did you ever have the feeling of curiosity as you travelled to a country in which you couldn’t grasp the language? The stage concept for Undercity in Warsaw tries to replicate this feeling by playing with the bare and stripped down visual aesthetics of a busy shopping street in an imaginary world inhabited by a foreign culture: Palapa.

The Setup

For the backdrop installation of the District DJ stage we assembled more than 60 different self made DMX controllable light sources. Together they formed a 16 m wide, free hanging, dynamic light installation consisting of advertising and shop signs, posters and technical and ventilation boxes.
